**Shreveport**: Morris & Dickson Inc. has announced its acquisition of Presa Solutions, aiming to integrate advanced logistics services for pharmaceutical manufacturers. The move is expected to provide a competitive alternative to traditional distributors, with plans for a new distribution centre set for 2026.
Morris & Dickson Inc., a pharmaceutical wholesale and specialty distributor based in Shreveport, Louisiana, has announced its acquisition of Presa Solutions, a virtual third-party logistics (3PL) company. This strategic move aims to enhance the service offerings available to pharmaceutical manufacturers by integrating Presa’s advanced order-to-cash platform with Morris & Dickson’s established logistics solutions.
Layne Martin, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Specialty at Morris & Dickson, commented, “This strategic acquisition helps Morris & Dickson to bring an integrated supply chain solution to our pharmaceutical and biotech partners. Many of our emerging biotech partners are looking for an alternative to the traditional ‘Big 3’ distributors.” He emphasised the company’s commitment to treating each client as a Tier 1 partner.
Presa Solutions, founded less than two years ago by industry veterans Omar Agado and Travis David, introduced a disruptive virtual 3PL model. This approach provides manufacturers with a flexible range of back-end services, including order management, invoicing, financial reporting, and chargeback processing. This model is designed to facilitate complex supply chain needs, ultimately allowing clients to conserve capital and operational resources while focusing on delivering essential therapies promptly.
Agado expressed confidence in the partnership, stating, “The Morris & Dickson team is the right fit with Presa Solutions… we are honoured to join the Morris & Dickson family as PresaMD.” Along with David, Agado will be joining Morris & Dickson’s management team to oversee the new 3PL services.
Jody Hatcher, the CEO of Morris & Dickson, highlighted recent significant investments made by the company, including national licensure across all 50 states and the development of a dedicated specialty fulfilment centre. Hatcher noted that the acquisition aligns perfectly with the company’s growth strategy, with plans for a new national distribution centre set to open in early 2026.
With the rebranding to PresaMD under the Morris & Dickson umbrella, the company looks to bolster its distribution capabilities while further addressing the unique needs of pharmaceutical and biotech clients.
