**Australia**: Pharmx has unveiled a new supplier portal that dramatically cuts supply chain integration time for pharmacies from twelve weeks to one day. The platform enhances efficiency, real-time data exchange, and interaction with major brands, promoting supplier participation and wider inventory access.
Pharmx has announced the launch of a new supplier portal designed to significantly enhance the efficiency of supply chain integration for pharmacies across Australia, reducing the typical integration timeframe from twelve weeks to just one day. This innovative self-service tool is built on the Pharmx Gateway platform, which aims to facilitate almost immediate trade integration for over 7,000 pharmacies, enabling them to efficiently interact with major industry brands like Pfizer, Revlon, and CH2.
The Pharmx Gateway promises seamless integration with pharmacy point-of-sale and order management systems, streamlining processes such as stock ordering and invoicing, while allowing for real-time data interchange. The new supplier portal’s features include real-time analytics, marketing support, and direct connections to pharmacies, thereby enhancing the trading experience.
Tom Culver, Chief Executive Officer of Pharmx, highlighted the significance of this launch, stating, “The launch of the Supplier Portal represents a step-change in how suppliers engage with the pharmacy channel. By reducing friction and time-to-trade, we are not only delivering value to suppliers but also increasing the diversity of suppliers to the Pharmacy market – enhancing inventory access and driving greater efficiency for pharmacies.” This initiative aligns with Pharmx’s broader strategic objectives of boosting supplier participation by lowering entry barriers and improving the overall supplier experience.
The portal is equipped with various business tools intended to assist suppliers in expanding their reach and improving their interaction with pharmacies. These tools include functionalities for product catalogues and order management, real-time performance analytics, and additional marketing support.
The rollout of the portal will begin with existing suppliers within Pharmx’s network, which is already home to notable brands like Pfizer, Revlon, and CH2. With a conscious push for increased supplier participation, Pharmx has multiplied its offerings, now providing access to over 120,000 stock keeping units (SKUs) spanning various categories such as pharmaceuticals, beauty, wellness, food, and technology.
This launch marks the first product to emerge under Pharmx’s rebranded identity and reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to progress and convenience in supply chain operations. While it is currently too early to assess the financial ramifications of this new tool, expectations are that it will bolster supplier acquisition, enhance platform engagement, and ultimately increase trading volumes as the supplier network expands.
